Perhaps there are more readers who are distant with off-road activities; however, in recent years, due to the government's opening access to mountains and forests, more people start to try mountain climbing, camping, and other outdoor activities. XTERRA has become a new genre of multi-outdoor sports. It is a race that has a variety of challenges and situations created by the terrain and weather in one race. The events include swimming, mountain bike riding, and cross-country running, and participants can choose according to their physical conditions: cross-country triathlon, cross-country duathlon and cross-country running, which is a sports event to enjoy the entire process.

From 2018, since XTERRA was introduced to Taiwan, a country that is full of ecological diversity and richness. We hope that through the influence of this event, we can explore more deeply and extensively on this beautiful island, and awaken our knowledge of this land, and our infinite potential to live a more exciting life.

This year 2022 is the fifth year of XTERRA in Taiwan. In order to make a new refresh appearance to the participants, XTERRA has changed the layout to a single venue “Shiniu Creek Farm” in Kenting, and the whole atmosphere created by the farm owner is delicately integrated with the terrain and and a beautiful, peaceful aesthetics. 

 

XTERRA, which was originated in Hawaii, now enters its 5th year in Taiwan. The atmosphere of the event, the dinner for the racers and all the elements in XTERRA are all rich in local Hawaiian flavor, so that you can feel you are in Hawaii without going abroad. You will see flower shirts, straw-knitted hats, and all the diverse flower things in the venue.

 

After enjoying the unique Hawaiian cuisine, of course, we must also browse the booths and experience the outdoor facilities provided at the venue. Booths shows everything, and there are on-site special groups, and limited items. Of course, XTERRA Kenting T-shirt is also one of the hot items!

 

What’s most special in the venue was the cross-country mountain bike experience provided by various well-known bicycle brands. Crew will help plan a route that fits you the most. About 10 brands can be found so that family members who do not participate in the race can also feel the vibe of their loved ones riding in the mountains.
